Abstract

Anorexia nervosa – is an eating disorder, which is characterized by abnormal perception of one’s body and the systematic reduction of body weight and loss of weight. Patients with anorexia nervosa refuse a variety of food products, which are full of necessary proteins, carbs, fats, electrolytes, trace elements and vitamins. This deficiency can cause a lot of different complications. The most common are cardiovascular complications, iron deficiency anemia, osteoporosis and others. Treatment is complexive, assisted by doctor children psychiatrist, children gastroenterologist and dietician. In order to achieve the best treatment results, it is very important to ensure proper nutrition enriched with missing materials.
