INFLUENCE OF LIFESTYLE CHANGES ON MENTAL HEALTH
The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines mental health as a state of well-being in which a person can cope with the daily difficulties of life, comprehend their own potential, being able to work productively, and make a significant contribution to the community. The number of mental health disorders is growing rapidly around the whole world. Social isolation, high workloads and flow of information, and the accelerating pace of life have a negative impact on a person’s mental health. However, numerous research works suggest that the risk of mental disorders can be substantially reduced if a healthy diet and lifestyle, proper work and rest regime, physical activity, and abandonment of harmful habits are implemented.
