Abstract
This article presents a clinical case of primary amenorrhea due to hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. The patient is a 17-year-old adolescent girl with a history of anorexia nervosa and intensive physical activity.
The diagnosis was functional hypothalamic amenorrhea, secondary to low body weight and psychological stress, consistent with relative energy deficiency in sport (RED-S). Treatment included weight restoration and hormone herapy. The literature review discusses the challenges of diagnosing and managing primary amenorrhea, with particular focus on HH.
