Ovarian Brenner tumor and ovarian cystadenoma: case report and literature review

Abstract

Brenner tumors are rare ovarian epithelial neoplasms, usually diagnosed incidentally in asymptomatic postmenopausal woman after surgical removal of ovarian tumor. It is believed that there is a significant relationship between Brenner tumors and ovarian cystadenomas. We describe a case of ovarian Brenner tumor diagnosed together with ovarian cystadenoma in the contralateral ovary.
