Late postpartum hemorrhage caused by uterine artery pseudoaneurysm

Abstract

Uterine artery pseudoaneurysm is a rare life-threatening cause of late postpartum hemorrhage. This case report describes recurrent heavy late postpartum bleeding caused by the rupture of the right uterine artery pseudoaneurysm. This uterine vascular lesion was diagnosed during pelvic angiography and succesfully treated with selective transarterial embolization.
