Abstract

Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease, and treatment principles are regularly reviewed and updated in the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) recommendations, taking into account the latest scientific knowledge and clinical trial data. The 2026 GINA recommendations emphasize effective, individualized asthma treatment; highlight the Maintenance and Reliever Therapy (MART) strategy; stress the role of the budesonide/formoterol combination in asthma management; describe the properties of the dry powder inhaler (DPI), and address sustainability.
