Abstract

Primary hyperparathyroidism is a disorder of the parathyroid glands, causing hypercalcemia and increased parathyroid hormone level. This endocrine disorder poses a serious risk to mother and fetus due to possible severe complications. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment are of great importance. The treatment of choice is parathyroidectomy at the second trimester of pregnancy.
