Keywords:
intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy
Abstract
Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy are the most common dermatosis of pregnancy, causing intense itching and rashes in typical areas. During pregnancy, this pathology poses no risk to the mother or the fetus. Diagnosis is based on clinical signs and a comprehensive examination is required to distinguish it from other specific prenatal dermatoses. Glucocorticosteroids are used to alleviate symptoms, however, after a few weeks the disease spontaneously regresses.
