Abstract

Sexual health after childbirth is of the utmost importance not only for the woman but also for the physical, emotional, mental and social well-being of the couple. Postpartum sexual activity is a significant problem, which is analysed widely in scientific articles. However, there is a lack of discussion in clinical practice as well as in the couples personal life. The article discusses the challenges of sexual life after childbirth, the possible influence of the method of delivery and reviews possible ways of helping the couple.
