OVARIAN ENDOMETRIOMAS AND INFERTILITY: OPTIONS OF TREATMENT WHILE PRESERVING OVARIAN RESERVE

Abstract

This review describes the relationship between ovarian endometriomas and fertility, the impact of different types of surgery on recurrence rates, ovarian reserve and the results of infertility treatment. We performed a comprehensive search in „PubMed“ and „Science Direct“ electronic databases and 23 articles written in English with access to the full text and published in the last decade were selected. Review focuses on the existing literature with regard to sclerotherapy of endometrioma as an minimal invasive method that could improve efficacy of medically assisted reproduction.
