Abstract

Streptococcal infection is one of the most common upper respiratory tract infections in the human population. This infection is usually found in juvenile patients, who are successfully treated with adequate antibiotic therapy, although during pregnancy – dangerous and mostly complicated. However, not all Streptococcus group bacteria cause clinically significant infection, others, on the contrary, are part of the normal human flora. In this article, a complicated streptococcus infection during pregnancy is described.
