Abstract
Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) is a serious complication that occurs in monochorionic twin pregnancies, where the twins share a single placenta with vascular anastomoses and unbalanced flow from twin to twin. This condition can lead to significant morbidity and mortality if not promptly diagnosed and managed. The literature review section synthesizes findings from numerous studies on TTTS, emphasizing the pathophysiology, diagnostic criteria, staging systems (such as the Quintero staging), complications and treatment modalities. The short case analysis focuses on the clinical outcomes and management strategies for TTTS cases diagnosed at Kauno klinikos between 2013 and 2022.
