Abstract

Gestational cancer is a malignancy diagnosed during pregnancy or within one year after delivery. This condition requires specific diagnostic and treatment approaches, as both maternal and fetal health must be considered. The treatment strategy depends on the type of cancer, the stage and the duration of pregnancy. Gestational cancer can include all oncological diseases, with breast cancer, cervical cancer, lymphoma, melanoma, ovarian cancer, and thyroid cancer being the most diagnosed. This article discusses the most common types of gestational cancer, diagnostic and treatment principles adapted to gestation period, and clinical recommendations from the perspective of obstetricians and oncologists.
