Abstract

Humanmilk is unique not only because of its composition, but also due to the constant changes in its content, adapting to the individual needs of the newborn. The article describes a 2,5-year study of the composition of humanmilk performed at theNeonatologyCenter of Vilnius UniversityHospital Santaros Clinics, analyzes the factors influencing the composition of human milk and the possible clinical significance of changes in human milk composition.
