IMMUNOLOGY OF PREGNANCY AND INFLUENCE OF IT'S DISTURBANCES TO RECURRENT MISCARRIAGE OF UNEXPLAINED ETHIOLOGY

Abstract

This review focuses on the immunology of pregnancy, the influence of it‘s disturbances to recurrent miscarriages. The authors searched for articles on immunology of pregnancy, it‘s link to recurrent miscarriage in PubMed database. There are 3 immunological phases of pregnancy: pro–inflammatory (implantation and formation of placenta), inhibitory (growth of the fetus) and pro–inflammatory (initiation of birth). Immune system of women, which suffer from unexplained recurrent miscarriage, is more active than of healthy individuals. The most significant cells, associated with this pathology are: Treg lymphocytes, NK cells (especialy peripheral blood NK), B lymphocytes and Th17 lymphocytes.
