Abstract
Placenta accreta spectrum is a dangerous obstetric condition when placenta morbidly adheres to the uterine wall. This pathology can cause severe maternal complications or even death. Conventionally placenta accreta spectrum is treated by cesarean hysterectomy before spontaneous delivery. However, there are several options of fertility preserving conservative management – extirpative treatment, expectant management, 1-step conservative surgery and the triple P procedure. This paper describes a clinical case of placenta accreta, treated with extirpative approach, and presents a literature review of its conservative management methods.
