Abstract
Twin reverdes arterial perfusion – one of the pathologies occuring among monochorionic twins. It happens because of malformation of arterio-arterial anastomoses of placenta, therefore the pomped blood travels to the systemic bloodstream of the twin-recipient through the umbilicans arteries. Both twins can have different complications, the most common of which is acardia of the twin recipient and the heart failure, perinatal death for the twin donor. The prognosis is unfavourable if there is no selective fetal reduction through arterio-arterial anastomoses.
