COVID-19 DISEASE AND HELLP SYNDROME DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSTICS DURING PREGNANCY

Abstract

The effect of COVID-19 during pregnancy is still under investigation, however scientific studies have shown that the infection increases the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. The clinical symptoms and laboratory tests of COVID-19 and HELLP syndrome can be similar and hardly recognizable. This article presents the clinical case of death of two fetuses in utero in COVID-19 infected woman with severe preeclampsia, and suspected HELLP syndrome and provides literature review.
