Abstract
Holoprosencephaly is brain development disorder that occurs in embryogenesis when two hemispheres fail to separate. Severe and multiple development defects are frequently seen in the specter. The diagnosis of holoprosencephaly has to be suspected prenatally during the first or second trimester ultrasound. In this article, we will be presenting the key aspects of epidemiology, etiology, anatomical and prognostic characteristics of holoprosencephaly with clinical cases examples.
