This article discusses the influence of early and delayed umbilical cord clamping on neonatal hematological parameters and nervous system development, as well as describes recommendations on when and which technique is effective to use. Methods. Based on the keywords in the PubMed, Medline, Cochrane Library database, 20 studies, that met the criteria for inclusion, were analysed.
