Abstract

Objective. To analyze the literature data on the new generation progestogenic contraceptive Zlynda. Search methods. Literature analysis in the „Pubmed“ database. Results. Contraceptive efficacy as measured by the pearl index is high and can be compared to combined oral contraceptives pills. Overweight and obesity do not affect the effect of drug. Conlusions. A new contraceptive without an estrogenic component consisting of 4 mg micronized drospirenone is an innovative product with many advantages over other oral contraceptives on the market.
