Abstract
With approximately about one-third of the world population infected, Toxoplasma gondii is one of the most widespread pathogenic parasites. Infection in healthy adults is asymptomatic in about half of the cases although it can cause mild nonspecific symptoms. Congenital toxoplasmosis is one of the most common congenital infections and can cause several complications for fetus and newborn such as central nervous system and ocular damage. Because of high rate of toxoplasmosis worldwide, common asymptomatic clinic and several complications it is very important to recognize congenital infection signs as early as possible.
